Prior to founding MJI Communications Group, Michael Iannelli spent 18 years in business
development and marketing for some of the largest and most prestigious firms in the
engineering and contracting industry. During this time he served as Director of Marketing
Services for Washington Group International's Infrastructure business unit; Assistant Vice
President / Manager for Parsons Brinckerhoff's Corporate Proposal /Presentation Group;
and Director of Business Development for Syska & Hennessy's New York region.

Working in this environment taught him that it isn't always the best strategy that wins - it's
the best articulated strategy! As a result, Michael focused his career on the
communications aspects of selling. Of course it always starts with a solution - "what are the
clients' concerns and issues and how can we help achieve their goal." But in today's
competitive environment, clients aren't just buying a firm's solutions, they're buying
people. The upshot: we must sell ourselves to succeed!

Michael realized that effectively communicating strategies is a major element of all
successful individuals and businesses. He also realized that identifying winning strategies
and clearly articulating these strategies is the key element. MJI Communications Group
